The Sunken City is home to a group of Russian-speaking bandits called The Buzzards, who appear in Mad Max: Fury Road. Acording to the 2015 Mad Max video game The Sunken city is portrayed as the underground caverns of a International sized airport that has been burried over with large sand dunes and been reclaimed by the desert.

The Sunken City is located in a network of caves deep in The Badlands of Australia's Wasteland called the Underwaste.
